Project: Without Mercy
One energetic agitation … and the snow is gently fluttering!
Magic and idyll are combined in the invention of the snow globe (in the year 1900) by the Viennese Erwin Perzy I. that still leave many smitten with amazement. His grandson Erwin Perzy III, runs the history-charged snow globe museum in Vienna. Another Erwin P. (“The Merciless”) leads us to the “Kunstwirtschaft” in Graz, where we can behold 325 snow globes/domes.
65 artists stage inside the snow globe respectively the snow globe itself.
Erwin Posarnig is responsible fort he concept and assignment. Once again he proves to be an excellent networker.
The exhibition bears the title “Ohne Gnade (“Without Mercy”)– the third text fragment of a citation by the former Styrian Governor for Cultural Affairs, Dr. Kurt Flecker:
